Mario Kart MegaMix has been shelved for many years, and it will blow out its 9th candle in this year 2022.

When I put it back online on the occasion of my archive openings, I did not expect "such a success" (this success being greater than that of the time of the original presentation), my archived projects generally meet with much less enthusiasm. And for that, I would like to thank very warmly each person who made a small visit on the game page, whether to read or to download it.

What is this success due to? To the fact that it is a fangame of a legendary series? To the fact that this is a very surprising project for an RPG Maker game? The fact that its code is open source? Perhaps all of this at once... I don't have a precise answer, but it honors me.

Thus, I very sincerely think of resuming the development of Mario Kart MegaMix and modernizing it, using learnings and systems from HopDrop. Although I had planned to stop working on RPG Maker after HopDrop, I think there is room for improvement and it can benefit HopDrop as well.
