HopDrop is a joyful platform game that also relies on something quite rare for this kind of game: the universe and the staging. Like other games of the genre, the scenario is lame and is only a pretext to go on an adventure, but the less developed story can become cool to follow thanks to its narration, its staging and its characters.

Exactly, let's talk about the characters, they actively participate in the sympathy of HopDrop. Let's discover today Alex, the protagonist, and Trydoms, the antagonist.

This cute little young man with a great smile is therefore the protagonist of HopDrop. He is the son of HopDrop of Tobadia, who was kidnapped by the evil king Trydoms of Louknesia. His full name is Alexy Volga and he is 18 years old.

Alex is on a blurred line between the hero and the anti-hero. Brave, optimistic, cute, intelligent, strong and kind, he is not very diplomatic, not very polite and casual. Trydoms describes him as a "bad boy who wants to spank him".

Alex is fond of muffins, other cute young men like him, a show called Binky's Show (a kind of Muppet Show whose star is not a frog in a theater but a clown in a circus) and video games. His biggest nightmare is having to run barefoot in a furniture store in the dark.

Trydoms Nero is the antagonist of HopDrop. He is the king of Louknesia, which he rules with tyranny. This is why he is not appreciated as he would like. Megalomaniac, crazy, immature, stupid, violent, jealous... The dictator of Louknesia has no shortage of flaws, who is also described by Alex as a "psychopathic and megalomaniac dictator who is stupid to dig up water".

Trydoms is jealous of King HopDrop's success in favorable opinion polls (despite an attempt to cheat to be first), this is what pushed Trydoms to eat HopDrop.

Trydoms' passions are as special as his personality. He likes to be complimented by those around him, organize Panties Parties (where he dances in his panties with his personal guard, some panties are often lost there) and hit on anything and everything and no matter the reason or the context. Trydoms does however have passions in common with Alex, namely Binky's Show and video games.
