At the time of writing this devlog, the HopDrop game is celebrating its 6 years of development and its first anniversary on itch.io ... Time flies so quickly.

The game has evolved a lot in 6 years and I like the HopDrop game as if it were my child... But I still want to move on, to make a second opus of HopDrop and move on to new ones games with engines other than RPG Maker. In particular, I would like to get The Myths of Lightis -Begins the Age of Darkness- out of his hibernation as soon as possible and make this game with Godot.

However, HopDrop has adapted better to my evolution than the RPG Maker version of The Myths of Lightis, and there is no question of abandoning or rushing it to quickly move on. Basically, I had set a dead line to complete HopDrop v1.0.0: September 12, 2022. But it is evident that the game will not be finished and marketed on that date, because I am alone in development and I absolutely have to subcontract the soundtrack, because I have no knowledge of computer music and I have no time to devote to it.

So the decision I made: to accelerate the development of HopDrop despite everything. I'm closer to the end than the beginning, and v0.6.2 can be released before the end of the year (I dare to aim for late November / early December). So, as soon as this free demo is published, I will can begin the development of worlds 7 and 8, as well as the final level and thus be able to continue what I planned for HopDrop... The development of world 6, Nothere Wood, dates back to March 2019!

This finalization of the game will be done in parallel with the restarting of The Myths of Lightis (first the prototyping). See you soon for more info about HopDrop v0.6.2 .
