HopDrop is a joyful platform game straddling 2D and 3D, which fits particularly well in the category of collectathons (especially that of Rareware games from the end of the 90s).

Who says collectathon, says spacious and open world to explore, HopDrop is no exception to this golden rule. Let's see the first of them, I named...

SPRING VALLEY

MONTAGNE VERTE | GRÜNES TAL

Description of the world

The Spring Valley is a small green valley filled with ponds, caves, and a small wood in its northern part.

This first world, simple and short, can be considered as the tutorial world, introducing the player to the mechanics of HopDrop. Namely, 8 Fairies to save (including 2 by facing a horde of enemies and a mini boss, and one with a mini game).

The game's first special move, balloon flight, is learned here. The first transformation, into a bull, too. The first mini game seen there is the Mine Cart.

This bucolic world is populated by a bestiary that wants your skin, including onions whose quickdraw looks like a polka with a lot of vodka and an army of maggots.

Bestiary

Hants

A giant hungry ant. She will eat you 2 Health Points if you let her touch you.

Zonion

They look like they're dancing a polka with a lot of vodka when they walk. If they are killed, they will regrow in potting soil not far away in the area.

Worsmys

Military maggots that are quite familiar. A lone soldier is not particularly to be feared, it is when the platoon is united that it become hard.

Characters from the world

Corporal Corpostico

Deputy leader of a section of the Worsmy army, Corporal Corpostico is the mini boss of the Spring Valley and is strict with his section.

Adjutant Kernel

Platoon leader of the Worsmys army platoon encountered in Spring Valley. Adjutant Kernel is the world boss and is keen on explosives and tunnels.
